Today in writing we did a haiku poem a haiku poem is five syllables then seven and then another five syllables it is not five words it is five parts or syllables. Syllables means words split to parts and that is what haiku means bye.
I am a Year 6 student in the Uru MÄnuka Cluster. My teacher is Miss McLeod. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Good work Son. You have tried hard to count the syllables for each line. I'm not sure if you got it correct though. We can help you tomorrow when you write another one.
